Last fall, Nissan confirmed a new Armada was in the works, but that probably won't be here until sometime in 2015 or 2016. It did receive a facelift for 2008, but not much else after that. ![]() So the Chevy is proof that there is still a market for large SUVs, and the pending arrival of the new 2015 Tahoe should help widen its lead over the Ford and the Nissan.Īs for the Armada, there hasn't been much in terms of updates since it first launched for the 2004 model year. Both trail the 83,502 Tahoes that Chevrolet was able to push off dealer lots during the same period. Nissan did sell 14,383 Aramadas in 2013, but that's behind the Ford Expedition's 38,350 sales figure, which also happens to be another large SUV dinosaur.
